Liable to Impermanence Aniccadhammasutta

At Sāvatthī. Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

Seated to one side, Venerable Rādha said to the Buddha: Ekamantaṁ nisinno kho āyasmā rādho bhagavantaṁ etadavoca:

ā€œSir, they speak of this thing called ā€˜liable to impermanence’. ā€œā€˜aniccadhammo, aniccadhammo’ti, bhante, vuccati. What is liable to impermanence? Katamo nu kho, bhante, aniccadhammoā€ti?

ā€œRādha, form, feeling, perception, choices, and consciousness are liable to impermanence. ā€œRÅ«paṁ kho, rādha, aniccadhammo, vedanā aniccadhammo, saƱƱā aniccadhammo, saį¹…khārā aniccadhammo, viññāṇaṁ aniccadhammo.

Seeing this … Evaṁ passaṁ …pe… They understand: ā€˜ā€¦ there is nothing further for this place.ā€™ā€ nāparaṁ itthattāyāti pajānātÄ«ā€ti.

Catutthaṁ.
