Impermanence Aniccasutta

At Sāvatthī. Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

Seated to one side, Venerable Rādha said to the Buddha: Ekamantaṁ nisinno kho āyasmā rādho bhagavantaṁ etadavoca:

ā€œSir, they speak of this thing called ā€˜impermanence’. ā€œā€˜aniccaṁ, aniccan’ti, bhante, vuccati. What is impermanence?ā€ Katamaṁ nu kho, bhante, aniccanā€ti?

ā€œRādha, form, feeling, perception, choices, and consciousness are impermanent. ā€œRÅ«paṁ kho, rādha, aniccaṁ, vedanā aniccā, saƱƱā aniccā, saį¹…khārā aniccā, viññāṇaṁ aniccaṁ.

Seeing this … Evaṁ passaṁ …pe… They understand: ā€˜ā€¦ there is nothing further for this place.ā€™ā€ nāparaṁ itthattāyāti pajānātÄ«ā€ti.

Tatiyaṁ.
