Bhaddā Daughter of Kapila Bhaddākāpilānītherīgāthā

Kassapa is the son and heir of the Buddha, “Putto buddhassa dāyādo, whose mind is immersed in samādhi. kassapo susamāhito; He who knows his past lives, Pubbenivāsaṁ yovedi, sees heaven and places of loss, saggāpāyañca passati.

and has attained the end of rebirth: Atho jātikkhayaṁ patto, is a sage of perfect insight. abhiññāvosito muni; It’s because of these three knowledges Etāhi tīhi vijjāhi, that the brahmin is a master of the three knowledges. tevijjo hoti brāhmaṇo.

In exactly the same way, Bhaddā daughter of Kapila Tatheva bhaddā kāpilānī, is master of the three knowledges, <j>conqueror of death. tevijjā maccuhāyinī; She bears her final body, Dhāreti antimaṁ dehaṁ, having vanquished Māra with his legions. jetvā māraṁ savāhiniṁ.

Seeing the danger of the world, Disvā ādīnavaṁ loke, both of us went forth. ubho pabbajitā mayaṁ; Now we are tamed, our defilements have ended; Tyamha khīṇāsavā dantā, we’ve become cooled and quenched. sītibhūtamha nibbutā”ti.
