Bhagu Bhaguttheragāthā

Overwhelmed by drowsiness, “Ahaṁ middhena pakato, I left my dwelling. vihārā upanikkhamiṁ; Stepping up to the path for walking meditation, Caṅkamaṁ abhiruhanto, I fell to the ground right there. tattheva papatiṁ chamā.

I rubbed my limbs, and again Gattāni parimajjitvā, I stepped up on the path for walking meditation. punapāruyha caṅkamaṁ; I walked meditation up and down the path, Caṅkame caṅkamiṁ sohaṁ, serene inside myself. ajjhattaṁ susamāhito.

Then the realization Tato me manasīkāro, came upon me—yoniso udapajjatha; the danger became clear, Ādīnavo pāturahu, and I grew firmly disillusioned. nibbidā samatiṭṭhatha.

Then my mind was freed—Tato cittaṁ vimucci me, behold the clear rightness of the teaching! passa dhammasudhammataṁ; I’ve attained the three knowledges, Tisso vijjā anuppattā, and fulfilled the Buddha’s instructions. kataṁ buddhassa sāsanan”ti.
