Bhalliya Bhalliyattheragāthā

He has cast aside the army of the King of Death, “Yopānudī maccurājassa senaṁ, as a fragile bridge of reeds by a great flood. Naḷasetuṁva sudubbalaṁ mahogho; Victorious since his fears have vanished: Vijitāvī apetabheravo hi, tame and steadfast, he has become quenched. Danto so parinibbuto ṭhitatto”ti.

That is how this verse was recited by the senior venerable Bhalliya. Itthaṁ sudaṁ āyasmā bhalliyo thero gāthaṁ abhāsitthāti.
