This is how the wise roar: “Nadanti evaṁ sappaññā, like lions in mountain caves, sīhāva girigabbhare; heroes, triumphant in battle, Vīrā vijitasaṅgāmā, having vanquished Māra with his legions. jetvā māraṁ savāhiniṁ.

I’ve served the teacher; Satthā ca pariciṇṇo me, I’ve honored the Dhamma and the Saṅgha; dhammo saṅgho ca pūjito; I’m happy and joyful, Ahañca vitto sumano, because I’ve seen my son free of defilements. puttaṁ disvā anāsavan”ti.
