“Why are so many people here afraid, “Kiṁsūdha bhītā janatā anekā, when the path has been taught <j>with so many dimensions? Maggo canekāyatanappavutto; I ask you, Gotama, whose wisdom is vast: Pucchāmi taṁ gotama bhūripañña, Standing on what need one not fear the next world?” Kismiṁ ṭhito paralokaṁ na bhāye”ti.

“When speech and mind are directed right, “Vācaṁ manañca paṇidhāya sammā, and you don’t do anything bad with the body Kāyena pāpāni akubbamāno; while dwelling at home with plenty of food and drink. Bahvannapānaṁ gharamāvasanto, Faithful, gentle, charitable, and bountiful: Saddho mudū saṁvibhāgī vadaññū; one who stands on these four principles, Etesu dhammesu ṭhito catūsu, who stands on the teaching <j>need not fear the next world.” Dhamme ṭhito paralokaṁ na bhāye”ti.
