āMendicants, there are these four bases of psychic power. āCattÄrome, bhikkhave, iddhipÄdÄ. What four? Katame cattÄro? Itās when a mendicant develops the basis of psychic power that has immersion due to enthusiasm ⦠Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu chandasamÄdhippadhÄnasaį¹ khÄrasamannÄgataį¹ iddhipÄdaį¹ bhÄveti, energy ⦠vÄ«riyasamÄdhi ā¦pe⦠mental development ⦠cittasamÄdhi ā¦pe⦠inquiry, and active effort. vÄ«maį¹sÄsamÄdhippadhÄnasaį¹ khÄrasamannÄgataį¹ iddhipÄdaį¹ bhÄveti. These are the four bases of psychic power. Ime kho, bhikkhave, cattÄro iddhipÄdÄ.
