Situations Cakkasutta

ā€œMendicants, there are these four situations. When these situations come about, any god or human who takes advantage of them will soon acquire great and abundant wealth. ā€œCattārimāni, bhikkhave, cakkāni, yehi samannāgatānaṁ devamanussānaṁ catucakkaṁ vattati, yehi samannāgatā devamanussā nacirasseva mahantattaṁ vepullattaṁ pāpuṇanti bhogesu. What four? Katamāni cattāri? Living in a suitable region, relying on true persons, being rightly resolved in oneself, and past merit. PatirÅ«padesavāso, sappurisāvassayo, attasammāpaṇidhi, pubbe ca katapuƱƱatā—

These are the four situations. When these situations come about, any god or human who takes advantage of them will soon acquire great and abundant wealth. Imāni kho, bhikkhave, cattāri cakkāni, yehi samannāgatānaṁ devamanussānaṁ catucakkaṁ vattati, yehi samannāgatā devamanussā nacirasseva mahantattaṁ vepullattaṁ pāpuṇanti bhogesÅ«ti.

When a man lives in a suitable region, PatirÅ«pe vase dese, making friends with noble ones, ariyamittakaro siyā; possessing right resolve, Sammāpaṇidhisampanno, and having merit from the past, pubbe puƱƱakato naro; grain, riches, fame, reputation, DhaƱƱaṁ dhanaṁ yaso kitti, and happiness come to them.ā€ sukhaƱcetaṁdhivattatÄ«ā€ti.
