Encompassing the Mind Cetopariyasutta

ā€œā€¦ And it’s because of developing and cultivating these four kinds of mindfulness meditation that I understand the minds of other beings and individuals, having encompassed them with my mind. ā€œImesaƱca panāhaṁ, āvuso, catunnaṁ satipaį¹­į¹­hānānaṁ bhāvitattā bahulÄ«katattā parasattānaṁ parapuggalānaṁ cetasā ceto paricca pajānāmi—I understand mind with greed as ā€˜mind with greed’ … sarāgaṁ vā cittaṁ ā€˜sarāgaṁ cittan’ti pajānāmi …pe… I understand unfreed mind as ā€˜unfreed mind’.ā€ avimuttaṁ vā cittaṁ ā€˜avimuttaṁ cittan’ti pajānāmÄ«ā€ti.
