The Path with Ten Factors Dasamaggasutta
āMendicants, I will teach you an untrue person and an even more untrue person, āAsappurisaƱca vo, bhikkhave, desessÄmi, asappurisena asappurisataraƱca; a true person and an even truer person. sappurisaƱca, sappurisena sappurisataraƱca. Taį¹ suį¹Ätha ā¦peā¦.
And what is an untrue person? āKatamo ca, bhikkhave, asappuriso? Itās someone who has wrong view, wrong thought, wrong speech, wrong action, wrong livelihood, wrong effort, wrong mindfulness, wrong immersion, wrong knowledge, and wrong freedom. Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco micchÄdiį¹į¹hiko hoti ā¦pe⦠micchÄƱÄį¹Ä« hoti, micchÄvimutti hoti. This is called an untrue person. Ayaį¹ vuccati, bhikkhave, asappuriso.
And what is an even more untrue person? Katamo ca, bhikkhave, asappurisena asappurisataro? Itās someone who has wrong view, wrong thought, wrong speech, wrong action, wrong livelihood, wrong effort, wrong mindfulness, wrong immersion, wrong knowledge, and wrong freedom. And they encourage others in these same qualities.
