āMendicants, if wanderers who follow another religion were to ask you: āSace vo, bhikkhave, aƱƱatitthiyÄ paribbÄjakÄ evaį¹ puccheyyuį¹: āReverend, do you lead the spiritual life with the ascetic Gotama so that you can be reborn in the realm of the gods?ā ādevalokÅ«papattiyÄ, Ävuso, samaį¹e gotame brahmacariyaį¹ vussathÄāti? Being questioned like this, wouldnāt you be horrified, repelled, and disgusted?ā Nanu tumhe, bhikkhave, evaį¹ puį¹į¹hÄ aį¹į¹Ä«yeyyÄtha harÄyeyyÄtha jiguccheyyÄthÄāti?
