Hard to Get Rid Of Duppaį¹­ivinodayasutta

ā€œMendicants, these five things are hard to get rid of once they’ve arisen. ā€œPaƱcime, bhikkhave, uppannā duppaį¹­ivinodayā. What five? Katame paƱca? Greed, hate, delusion, the feeling of being inspired to speak out, and thoughts of traveling. Uppanno rāgo duppaį¹­ivinodayo, uppanno doso duppaį¹­ivinodayo, uppanno moho duppaį¹­ivinodayo, uppannaṁ paį¹­ibhānaṁ duppaį¹­ivinodayaṁ, uppannaṁ gamikacittaṁ duppaį¹­ivinodayaṁ. These five things are hard to get rid of once they’ve arisen.ā€ Ime kho, bhikkhave, paƱca uppannā duppaį¹­ivinodayÄā€ti.

Saddhammavaggo paį¹­hamo.

Tassuddānaṁ

Tayo sammattaniyāmā, tayo saddhammasammosā; Dukkathā ceva sārajjaṁ, udāyidubbinodayāti.
