āMendicants, a mendicant with seven qualities is disliked and disapproved by their spiritual companions, not respected or admired. āSattahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannÄgato bhikkhu sabrahmacÄrÄ«naį¹ appiyo ca hoti amanÄpo ca agaru ca abhÄvanÄ«yo ca. What seven? Katamehi sattahi? Itās when a mendicant desires material things, honor, and status. They lack conscience and prudence. Theyāre jealous and stingy. Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu lÄbhakÄmo ca hoti, sakkÄrakÄmo ca hoti, anavaƱƱattikÄmo ca hoti, ahiriko ca hoti, anottappÄ« ca, issukÄ« ca, maccharÄ« ca.
