Isidinna Isidinnattheragāthā

I’ve seen lay disciples <j>who have memorized discourses, “Diṭṭhā mayā dhammadharā upāsakā, saying, “Sensual pleasures are impermanent”. Kāmā aniccā iti bhāsamānā; But they’re obsessed with jeweled earrings, Sārattarattā maṇikuṇḍalesu, concerned for their partners and children. Puttesu dāresu ca te apekkhā.

To be honest, they don’t know Dhamma, Addhā na jānanti yatodha dhammaṁ, even though they say <j>“Sensual pleasures are impermanent”. Kāmā aniccā iti cāpi āhu; They don’t have the power to cut their lust, Rāgañca tesaṁ na balatthi chettuṁ, so they cling to children, wives, and wealth. Tasmā sitā puttadāraṁ dhanañcā”ti.
