About Katamorakatissaka Katamodakatissasutta

Now at that time the Buddha had gone into retreat for the dayās meditation. Tena kho pana samayena bhagavÄ divÄvihÄragato hoti paį¹isallÄ«no. Then the independent divinities SubrahmÄ and SuddhÄvÄsa went to the Buddha and stationed themselves one by each door-post. Atha kho subrahmÄ ca paccekabrahmÄ suddhÄvÄso ca paccekabrahmÄ yena bhagavÄ tenupasaį¹ kamiį¹su; upasaį¹ kamitvÄ paccekaį¹ dvÄrabÄhaį¹ nissÄya aį¹į¹haį¹su.
Then SuddhÄvÄsa spoke this verse about the mendicant Katamorakatissaka in the Buddhaās presence: Atha kho suddhÄvÄso paccekabrahmÄ katamodakatissakaį¹ bhikkhuį¹ Ärabbha bhagavato santike imaį¹ gÄthaį¹ abhÄsi:
āWhat wise person here would judge āAppameyyaį¹ paminanto, the immeasurable by measuring them? Kodha vidvÄ vikappaye; I think anyone whoād do such a thing Appameyyaį¹ pamÄyinaį¹, is an ignoramus, shrouded in darkness.ā Nivutaį¹ taį¹ maƱƱe akissavanāti.
