Those who were perfected ones, fully awakened Buddhas in the past also taught the efficacy of deeds, action, and energy. Yepi te, bhikkhave, ahesuṁ atītamaddhānaṁ arahanto sammāsambuddhā, tepi bhagavanto kammavādā ceva ahesuṁ kiriyavādā ca vīriyavādā ca.
