Five Kinds of Stinginess PaƱcamacchariyasutta

ā€œMendicants, there are these five kinds of stinginess. ā€œPaƱcimāni, bhikkhave, macchariyāni. What five? Katamāni paƱca? Stinginess with dwellings, families, material things, praise, and the teachings. Āvāsamacchariyaṁ, kulamacchariyaṁ, lābhamacchariyaṁ, vaṇṇamacchariyaṁ, dhammamacchariyaṁ—These are the five kinds of stinginess. imāni kho, bhikkhave, paƱca macchariyāni. The most contemptible of these five kinds of stinginess is stinginess with the teaching.ā€ Imesaṁ kho, bhikkhave, paƱcannaṁ macchariyānaṁ etaṁ paį¹­ikuį¹­į¹­haṁ, yadidaṁ dhammamacchariyanā€ti.
