“Mendicant, they’re called wise and clever because they’ve developed and cultivated the seven awakening factors. “Sattannaṁ kho, bhikkhu, bojjhaṅgānaṁ bhāvitattā bahulīkatattā ‘paññavā aneḷamūgo’ti vuccati. What seven? Katamesaṁ sattannaṁ? The awakening factors of mindfulness, investigation of principles, energy, rapture, tranquility, immersion, and equanimity.
