The Spiritual Path (1st) Paį¹hamabrahmacariyasutta

āMendicants, I will teach you the spiritual path and the fruits of the spiritual path. āBrahmacariyaƱca vo, bhikkhave, desessÄmi, brahmacariyaphalÄni ca. Listen ⦠Taį¹ suį¹Ätha.
And what is the spiritual path? KatamaƱca, bhikkhave, brahmacariyaį¹? It is simply this noble eightfold path, that is: Ayameva ariyo aį¹į¹haį¹ giko maggo, seyyathidaį¹āright view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right immersion. sammÄdiį¹į¹hi ā¦pe⦠sammÄsamÄdhi. This is called the spiritual path. Idaį¹ vuccati, bhikkhave, brahmacariyaį¹.
And what are the fruits of the spiritual path? KatamÄni ca, bhikkhave, brahmacariyaphalÄni? The fruits of stream-entry, once-return, non-return, and perfection. SotÄpattiphalaį¹, sakadÄgÄmiphalaį¹, anÄgÄmiphalaį¹, arahattaphalaį¹āThese are called the fruits of the spiritual path.ā imÄni vuccanti, bhikkhave, brahmacariyaphalÄnÄ«āti.
