A Stream-Enterer (1st) Paṭhamasotāpannasutta

“Mendicants, there are these five faculties. “Pañcimāni, bhikkhave, indriyāni. What five? Katamāni pañca? The faculties of faith, energy, mindfulness, immersion, and wisdom. Saddhindriyaṁ, vīriyindriyaṁ, satindriyaṁ, samādhindriyaṁ, paññindriyaṁ. A noble disciple comes to truly understand these five faculties’ gratification, drawback, and escape. Yato kho, bhikkhave, ariyasāvako imesaṁ pañcannaṁ indriyānaṁ assādañca ādīnavañca nissaraṇañca yathābhūtaṁ pajānāti—Such a noble disciple is called a stream-enterer, not liable to be reborn in the underworld, bound for awakening.” ayaṁ vuccati, bhikkhave, ariyasāvako sotāpanno avinipātadhammo niyato sambodhiparāyaṇo”ti.

Dutiyaṁ.
