Appearance Pātubhāvasutta

“Mendicants, the appearance of six things is rare in the world. “Channaṁ, bhikkhave, pātubhāvo dullabho lokasmiṁ. What six? Katamesaṁ channaṁ? A Realized One, a perfected one, a fully awakened Buddha. A teacher of the teaching and training proclaimed by a Realized One. Rebirth in a civilized region. Unimpaired sense faculties. Being bright and clever. Enthusiasm for skillful qualities. Tathāgatassa arahato sammāsambuddhassa pātubhāvo dullabho lokasmiṁ, tathāgatappaveditassa dhammavinayassa desetā puggalo dullabho lokasmiṁ, ariyāyatane paccājāti dullabhā lokasmiṁ, indriyānaṁ avekallatā dullabhā lokasmiṁ, ajaḷatā aneḷamūgatā dullabhā lokasmiṁ, kusale dhamme chando dullabho lokasmiṁ. The appearance of these six things is rare in the world.” Imesaṁ kho, bhikkhave, channaṁ pātubhāvo dullabho lokasmin”ti.

Paṭhamaṁ.
