Sabhiya Sabhiyattheragāthā
When others do not understand, “Pare ca na vijānanti, let us, who do understand this, mayamettha yamāmase; restrain ourselves in this regard; Ye ca tattha vijānanti, for that is how conflicts are laid to rest. tato sammanti medhagā.
And when those who don’t understand Yadā ca avijānantā, behave as though they were immortal, iriyantyamarā viya; those who understand the Dhamma Vijānanti ca ye dhammaṁ, are like the healthy among the sick. āturesu anāturā.
Any lax act, Yaṁ kiñci sithilaṁ kammaṁ, any corrupt observance, saṅkiliṭṭhañca yaṁ vataṁ; or suspicious spiritual life, Saṅkassaraṁ brahmacariyaṁ, is not very fruitful. na taṁ hoti mahapphalaṁ.
Whoever has no respect Yassa sabrahmacārīsu, for their spiritual companions gāravo nūpalabbhati; is as far from true Dhamma Ārakā hoti saddhammā, as the firmament from the earth. nabhaṁ puthaviyā yathā”ti.
