Kuṇḍalakesitherīvatthu

Anatthapucchakabrāhmaṇavatthu

Āyuvaḍḍhanakumāravatthu

Saṅkiccasāmaṇeravatthu

Better to live a single day Yo ca vassasataṁ jīve, ethical and absorbed in meditation dussīlo asamāhito; than to live a hundred years Ekāhaṁ jīvitaṁ seyyo, unethical and lacking immersion. sīlavantassa jhāyino.

Khāṇukoṇḍaññattheravatthu

Better to live a single day Yo ca vassasataṁ jīve, wise and absorbed in meditation duppañño asamāhito; than to live a hundred years Ekāhaṁ jīvitaṁ seyyo, witless and lacking immersion. paññavantassa jhāyino.

Sabbadāsattheravatthu

Better to live a single day Yo ca vassasataṁ jīve, energetic and strong, kusīto hīnavīriyo; than to live a hundred years Ekāhaṁ jīvitaṁ seyyo, lazy and lacking energy. vīriyamārabhato daḷhaṁ.
