Sāmā Sāmātherīgāthā

Four or five times “Catukkhattuṁ pañcakkhattuṁ, I left my dwelling. vihārā upanikkhamiṁ; I had failed to find peace of heart, Aladdhā cetaso santiṁ, or any control over my mind. citte avasavattinī; Now it is the eighth night Tassā me aṭṭhamī ratti, since craving was eradicated. yato taṇhā samūhatā.

Though subject to so many painful things, Bahūhi dukkhadhammehi, I have, through my love of diligence, appamādaratāya me; reached the ending of craving, Taṇhakkhayo anuppatto, and fulfilled the Buddha’s instructions. kataṁ buddhassa sāsanan”ti.
