Joy and Happiness Sukhasomanassasutta
āMendicants, when a mendicant has six things theyāre full of joy and happiness in this very life, and they have laid the groundwork for ending the defilements. āChahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannÄgato bhikkhu diį¹į¹heva dhamme sukhasomanassabahulo viharati, yoni cassa ÄraddhÄ hoti ÄsavÄnaį¹ khayÄya. What six? Katamehi chahi? Itās when a mendicant enjoys the teaching, meditation, giving up, seclusion, kindness, and non-proliferation. Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu dhammÄrÄmo hoti, bhÄvanÄrÄmo hoti, pahÄnÄrÄmo hoti, pavivekÄrÄmo hoti, abyÄpajjhÄrÄmo hoti, nippapaƱcÄrÄmo hoti.
