About Tapussa Tapussasutta

ā€œMendicants, having six qualities the householder Tapussa is certain about the Realized One, sees freedom from death and lives having realized freedom from death. ā€œChahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannāgato tapusso gahapati tathāgate niį¹­į¹­haį¹…gato amataddaso amataṁ sacchikatvā iriyati. What six? Katamehi chahi? Experiential confidence in the Buddha, the teaching, and the Saį¹…gha, and noble ethics, knowledge, and freedom. Buddhe aveccappasādena, dhamme aveccappasādena, saį¹…ghe aveccappasādena, ariyena sÄ«lena, ariyena ñāṇena, ariyāya vimuttiyā. Having these six qualities the householder Tapussa is certain about the Realized One, sees freedom from death and lives having realized freedom from death.ā€ Imehi kho, bhikkhave, chahi dhammehi samannāgato tapusso gahapati tathāgate niį¹­į¹­haį¹…gato amataddaso amataṁ sacchikatvā iriyatÄ«ā€ti.
