About Tapussa Tapussasutta
āMendicants, having six qualities the householder Tapussa is certain about the Realized One, sees freedom from death and lives having realized freedom from death. āChahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannÄgato tapusso gahapati tathÄgate niį¹į¹haį¹ gato amataddaso amataį¹ sacchikatvÄ iriyati. What six? Katamehi chahi? Experiential confidence in the Buddha, the teaching, and the Saį¹ gha, and noble ethics, knowledge, and freedom. Buddhe aveccappasÄdena, dhamme aveccappasÄdena, saį¹ ghe aveccappasÄdena, ariyena sÄ«lena, ariyena ƱÄį¹ena, ariyÄya vimuttiyÄ. Having these six qualities the householder Tapussa is certain about the Realized One, sees freedom from death and lives having realized freedom from death.ā Imehi kho, bhikkhave, chahi dhammehi samannÄgato tapusso gahapati tathÄgate niį¹į¹haį¹ gato amataddaso amataį¹ sacchikatvÄ iriyatÄ«āti.
