“These four individuals are found in the world. “Cattārome, bhikkhave, puggalā santo saṁvijjamānā lokasmiṁ. What four? Katame cattāro?

1. One who lives off the fruit of initiative, but not deeds; Uṭṭhānaphalūpajīvī na kammaphalūpajīvī,
2. one who lives off the fruit of deeds, but not initiative; kammaphalūpajīvī na uṭṭhānaphalūpajīvī,
3. one who lives off the fruit of both deeds and initiative; uṭṭhānaphalūpajīvī ceva kammaphalūpajīvī ca,
4. one who lives off the fruit of neither initiative nor deeds. neva uṭṭhānaphalūpajīvī na kammaphalūpajīvī—

These are the four individuals found in the world.” Ime kho, bhikkhave, cattāro puggalā santo saṁvijjamānā lokasmin”ti.
