Feelings VedanÄsutta
āMendicants, there are these three feelings. āTisso imÄ, bhikkhave, vedanÄ. What three? KatamÄ tisso? Pleasant, painful, and neutral feeling. SukhÄ vedanÄ, dukkhÄ vedanÄ, adukkhamasukhÄ vedanÄāThese are the three feelings. imÄ kho, bhikkhave, tisso vedanÄ. The four kinds of mindfulness meditation should be developed to completely understand these three feelings. ImÄsaį¹ kho, bhikkhave, tissannaį¹ vedanÄnaį¹ pariƱƱÄya cattÄro satipaį¹į¹hÄnÄ bhÄvetabbÄ.
What four? Katame cattÄro? Itās when a mendicant meditates by observing an aspect of the bodyākeen, aware, and mindful, rid of covetousness and displeasure for the world. Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu kÄye kÄyÄnupassÄ« viharati ÄtÄpÄ« sampajÄno satimÄ, vineyya loke abhijjhÄdomanassaį¹; They meditate observing an aspect of feelings ⦠vedanÄsu ā¦pe⦠mind ⦠citte ā¦pe⦠principlesākeen, aware, and mindful, rid of covetousness and displeasure for the world. dhammesu dhammÄnupassÄ« viharati ÄtÄpÄ« sampajÄno satimÄ, vineyya loke abhijjhÄdomanassaį¹.
