Yasoja Yasojattheragāthā

“With knobbly knees, “Kālapabbaṅgasaṅkāso, thin and veiny, kiso dhamanisanthato; eating and drinking but little—Mattaññū annapānamhi, this person’s spirit is undaunted.” adīnamānaso naro”.

“Pestered by flies and mosquitoes “Phuṭṭho ḍaṁsehi makasehi, in the wilds, the formidable forest, araññasmiṁ brahāvane; one should mindfully endure, Nāgo saṅgāmasīseva, like an elephant at the head of the battle. sato tatrādhivāsaye.

A monk alone is like the supreme Divinity; Yathā brahmā tathā eko, a pair of monks are like gods; yathā devo tathā duve; three are like a village; Yathā gāmo tathā tayo, and more than that is a rabble.” kolāhalaṁ tatuttarin”ti.
