Cast Down YathÄbhatasutta
āMendicants, a mendicant with five qualities is cast down to hell. āPaƱcahi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannÄgato bhikkhu yathÄbhataį¹ nikkhitto evaį¹ niraye. What five? Katamehi paƱcahi? Itās when a mendicant is faithless, shameless, imprudent, lazy, and witless. Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu assaddho hoti, ahiriko hoti, anottappÄ« hoti, kusÄ«to hoti, duppaƱƱo hoti. A mendicant with these five qualities is cast down to hell. Imehi kho, bhikkhave, paƱcahi dhammehi samannÄgato bhikkhu yathÄbhataį¹ nikkhitto evaį¹ niraye.
