The End of Relishing (2nd) Dutiyanandikkhayasutta

At Sāvatthī. Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

ā€œMendicants, rationally apply the mind to form. Truly see the impermanence of form. ā€œRÅ«paṁ, bhikkhave, yoniso manasi karotha, rÅ«pāniccataƱca yathābhÅ«taṁ samanupassatha. When a mendicant does this, they grow disillusioned with form. RÅ«paṁ, bhikkhave, bhikkhu yoniso manasi karonto, rÅ«pāniccataƱca yathābhÅ«taṁ samanupassanto rÅ«pasmiṁ nibbindati. When relishing ends, greed ends. When greed ends, relishing ends. Nandikkhayā rāgakkhayo, rāgakkhayā nandikkhayo. When relishing and greed end, the mind is freed, and is said to be well freed. Nandirāgakkhayā cittaṁ vimuttaṁ suvimuttanti vuccati.

Nandirāgakkhayā cittaṁ vimuttaṁ suvimuttanti vuccati.

Nandirāgakkhayā cittaṁ vimuttaṁ suvimuttanti vuccati.

consciousness. Truly see the impermanence of consciousness. Viññāṇaṁ, bhikkhave, yoniso manasi karotha, viññāṇāniccataƱca yathābhÅ«taṁ samanupassatha. When a mendicant does this, they grow disillusioned with consciousness. Viññāṇaṁ, bhikkhave, bhikkhu yoniso manasi karonto, viññāṇāniccataƱca yathābhÅ«taṁ samanupassanto viññāṇasmiṁ nibbindati. When relishing ends, greed ends. When greed ends, relishing ends. Nandikkhayā rāgakkhayo, rāgakkhayā nandikkhayo. When relishing and greed end, the mind is freed, and is said to be well freed.ā€ Nandirāgakkhayā cittaṁ vimuttaṁ suvimuttanti vuccatÄ«ā€ti.

Tassuddānaṁ

AttadÄ«pā paį¹­ipadā, Dve ca honti aniccatā; Samanupassanā khandhā, Dve soṇā dve nandikkhayena cāti.

MÅ«lapaṇṇāsako samatto.

Tassa mÅ«lapaṇṇāsakassa vagguddānaṁ

Nakulapitā anicco ca, Bhāro natumhākena ca; Attadīpena paññāso, Paṭhamo tena pavuccatīti.
