Impermanence (3rd) Tatiyaaniccasutta

At Sāvatthī. Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

“Mendicants, you should give up desire and greed for what is impermanent. “Yaṁ, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ; tatra vo chandarāgo pahātabbo. And what is impermanent? Kiñca, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ?

Form is impermanent; you should give up desire and greed for it. Rūpaṁ, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ, tatra vo chandarāgo pahātabbo.

Perception … saññā …

Choices … saṅkhārā …

Consciousness is impermanent; you should give up desire and greed for it. viññāṇaṁ aniccaṁ; tatra vo chandarāgo pahātabbo.

You should give up desire and greed for what is impermanent.” Yaṁ, bhikkhave, aniccaṁ; tatra vo chandarāgo pahātabbo”ti.
