That Which is Suffering Yaṁdukkhasutta

At Sāvatthī. Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

“Mendicants, form is suffering. “Rūpaṁ, bhikkhave, dukkhaṁ. What’s suffering is not-self. Yaṁ dukkhaṁ tadanattā; And what’s not-self should be truly seen with right understanding like this: ‘This is not mine, I am not this, this is not my self.’ yadanattā taṁ ‘netaṁ mama, nesohamasmi, na meso attā’ti evametaṁ yathābhūtaṁ sammappaññāya daṭṭhabbaṁ.

Feeling is suffering … Vedanā dukkhā …

Perception is suffering … saññā dukkhā …

Choices are suffering … saṅkhārā dukkhā …

Consciousness is suffering. viññāṇaṁ dukkhaṁ. What’s suffering is not-self. Yaṁ dukkhaṁ tadanattā; And what’s not-self should be truly seen with right understanding like this: ‘This is not mine, I am not this, this is not my self.’ yadanattā taṁ ‘netaṁ mama, nesohamasmi, na meso attā’ti evametaṁ yathābhūtaṁ sammappaññāya daṭṭhabbaṁ.

Seeing this … Evaṁ passaṁ …pe… They understand: ‘… there is nothing further for this place.’” nāparaṁ itthattāyā’ti pajānātī”ti.
